Several popular products were pulled from store shelves this week in large-scale recalls.

Spoiled coffee creamer and contaminated acne products made headlines, but you should also be aware of recalls for sparkling water and oyster crackers.

Here's what to check your fridge, pantry, and bathroom cabinets for:

In late February, Danone recalled 75,054 bottles of two flavors of International Delight coffee creamer—Hazelnet and Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll—across 31 states after discovering the products were spoiled.

On Wednesday, the FDA gave the recall the second-highest risk level and reported that Danone “received complaints of spoilage and illness with the use of the products.”

Recalled Products:

Affected States: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

Danone is urging customers to stop using the recalled coffee creamers and return them for a refund or replacement. Customers with questions and concerns can also contact the International Delight Consumer Care Line at 1-800-441-3321.

L’Oreal recalled all lots of La Roche-Posay’s Effaclar Duo Acne Spot Treatment, sold nationwide, over potential contamination of benzene, a cancer-causing chemical.

Following that announcement, the FDA shared its own investigation of 95 acne products with benzoyl peroxide, a common ingredient that can degrade into benzene at high temperatures or from UV exposure.

The results led to the voluntary recalls of six more skincare products with elevated levels of benzene.

Recalled Products:

Zapzyt Acne Treatment Gel was also recalled due to elevated levels of benzene discovered during the manufacturer’s own testing.

The recalled products are being pulled from store shelves and online marketplaces. However, the FDA’s announcement does not have specific instructions for consumers who already have these recalled skincare products.

On Thursday, Trader Joe’s voluntarily recalled about 61,500 bottles of Gerolsteiner sparkling water sold at store locations in 12 states. The recalled sparkling water “may have the potential for cracked/damaged bottles,” Trader Joe’s said in an announcement, but there have been no customer reports of injury or damaged bottles.

Recalled Product:

Affected States: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas

Trader Joe’s is advising customers to stop using the affected sparkling water bottles, carefully dispose of them, and go to any store location for a full refund. Customers with questions can also contact Trader Joe's Customer Relations at 1-626-599-3817 or send them an email.

In late February, Shearer’s Foods voluntarily recalled 15,874 cases of oyster crackers sold at Target, Walmart, and Giant Eagle stores in 24 states. This Tuesday, the FDA set the second-highest risk level for the product due to potential contamination of a foreign material: stainless steel wire.

Recalled Products:

Affected States: Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin

The FDA’s report did not include specific instructions for consumers who have purchased the recalled oyster crackers. Still, there is usually a risk of injury for eating a product that contains a foreign material.
