Following an in-depth examination of Bravo by Vanity Fair, the reality television network that was the base for Ramona Singer throughout 13 seasons of Real Housewives of New York City, the reality show icon has been removed from the upcoming fan convention of the network, as per a confirmation to VF from an informed source.

The report highlighted an investigation into Singer’s alleged racial slur usage during a conversation with a Black crew member while filming the 13th season of RHONY. Shed Media, Warner Bros. Discovery, Bravo, and NBCUniversal refrained from commenting on the specific allegations against Singer stated in complaints. Singer dismissed the claim that she used the racial slur while conversing with a Black production crew member, responding to VF with a simple “Never.”

Post-publication, a reporter from Page Six also reached out to Singer for comment. Her response, which was captured in a screenshot on the news outlet's site, was an attempt to defend herself by insisting she literally said "NWord", refraining from usage of the slur itself. She then, however, wrote the racial slur in abbreviated form and followed it with an ellipsis.

The reality star, who is 66 years old, was initially scheduled to attend BravoCon—an annual convention for loyal viewers of the network that will be hosted in Las Vegas this weekend following two years in New York City. Singer was anticipating participating in a panel for the new season of Peacock’s Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, set to premiere in December, alongside other long standing RHONY cast members. She along with her daughter Avery Singer, had plans to sell their brand, BachBoss, at a booth in the Bravo Bazaar, as per TheWrap.

Several complaints have been made against Singer for alleged inappropriate behavior during her final season with Real Housewives of New York City, as reported by VF's Anna Peele. Following a tense exchange with Eboni Williams, the first Black cast member on RHONY, Singer reportedly slammed her hands on the table, saying, “This is why we didn’t need Black people on the show…. This is gonna ruin our show.” Singer staunchly denies that this incident took place, emailing VF that she had been supportive of adding diverse cast members to the show even before Williams joined.

A separate incident quoted Singer allegedly telling a Black woman staffer, “There’s so many of you guys here now, please don’t change your hair as I’m not gonna be able to remember anybody’s names.” Singer associated this remark with her habitual difficulty in remembering names. In an email to Vanity Fair, Singer mentioned that she once misidentified two distinct white cast members of Vanderpump Rules, stating that the incident was a simple example of her inability to remember names. An accusation was also made stating that Singer exclaimed, “There’s so many Black chicks!”, an utterance that the reality star denies ever making.

As per Darian Edmondson, a senior producer of the 13th season, Singer made claim to a past incident where she faced discrimination from Jewish colleagues who referred to using a “Catholic slur” when she was young. Singer maintains her stance of never using the racial slur despite being accused of it, and labeled Edmondson's account of her story as a “misrepresentation.”

A complete revamping of RHONY with a fresh cast for its 14th season followed several complaints to Warner Bros. Discovery HR from multiple production members about Singer’s alleged comments during filming of the 13th season.
