Pinterest Releases Nail Color Predictions for 2026

Pinterest, in all its wisdom, recently released its predictions for the colors we’ll see everywhere this year. The 2026 Pinterest Palette is a curated lineup informed by billions of searches and saves from the platform’s 600 million users. These are the shades gaining traction across Pinterest, so get ready to spot them in outfits, home décor and, most importantly, manicures.

Wasabi hues are bringing a sense of whimsy to manicures and beyond this year. Searches for chartreuse green are up more than 175 percent, signaling that people are ready to embrace fun, playful nail colors again.

This one is for dark, moody manicures. Dark plum and deep burgundy nail searches are both up more than 220 percent. Admittedly, the shade is somewhat of a staple since Essie’s Wicked ($10) and OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark ($12) are certifiable classics. According to Pinterest, the shade we’ll see this year is a perfect balance of deep purple, burnt burgundy and a swirl of velvet brown.
