On Thursday, July 31, Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to clarify a recent headline about her.

The headline was published by The Daily Mail. It read, “Paris Jackson sparks concern as she appears to cry during solo walk weeks after dad Michael’s death anniversary.”

The headline was paired with paparazzi photos of Paris visibly upset while walking by herself. Now, she is using her verified social media account to address the speculation.

“Those are breakup tears,” she wrote on X on July 31, in response to The Daily Mail’s article. “Y’all are fkn reaching again.”

Fans in the comment section shared their well-wishes with the singer, telling her, “you deserve to be happy.”

“Sending you love PK. I’m so sorry. Stay strong,” another commenter added.

Paris announced her engagement to fellow musician Justin Long in December 2024. She shared a series of images of the proposal on her Instagram story at the time.

She last showed off her engagement ring on her Instagram account after sharing images from a recent L’officiel campaign she did.

And on July 18, Paris shared photos from her time on the road touring with Incubus where Long was seen with her smiling as they enjoyed time together.

In June, the 27-year-old opened up briefly about their wedding plans, saying a date had been set.

“The dress is being made, the venue has been picked and the date has been picked by an astrologer, because I’m from L.A.,” Paris Jackson told Access Hollywood in June. “I’m all about the crystals and the astrologer, and all that stuff.”

Following news of their breakup, Jackson has deleted the Instagram post where she announced their engagement.
