Nina Dobrev and Shaun White are engaged after more than four years of dating and the Vampire Diaries actor flashed her blinding 5-carat engagement ring in their sweet engagement photos.

“RIP boyfriend, hello fiancé,” Nina, 35, captioned her Wednesday, October 30, Instagram post.

The snowboarding legend, 38, also shared their moody engagement photos on his profile. Shaun posted a photo of Nina crying in her hands while he smiled at her shortly after popping the big question with the text, “Best night of my life.”

Nina and Shaun’s celebrity friends filled their comments sections with sweet congratulations and excitement for the big day. “Omg!!!! Congratulations to both of you!!! Excited to eat tacos, barefoot, on the floor of your wedding now!!” Bachelor Nation’s Wells Adams wrote under Nina’s post.

Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee commented, “OMGGGGG CONGRATS.”

Sisters Kendall Jenner and Khloé Kardashian also congratulated the pair.

Nina and Shaun shared the details of their engagement and the actor’s massive diamond ring with Vogue, who broke the news on October 30. The retired athlete told the publication that he held onto the 5-carat wide oval cut Lorraine Schwartz ring around his and Nina’s home for a while before getting down on one knee. Shaun had to do a lot of impromptu plotting for the engagement by faking a dinner held by Anna Wintour, an invite Nina couldn’t pass up. When the Degrassi alum walked through the doors of The Golden Swan in New York City, she saw her fiancé standing at the other side of a rose-filled aisle. Their friends and family joined them after she said, “Yes,” and their night ended with celebratory junk food.

“Eventually we realized — other than the caviar – we hadn’t eaten anything. So we ordered Shake Shack and dumplings to the Golden Swan,” Nina said of their party, which lasted until 1 a.m.

Fans have been invested in Nina and Shaun’s love story ever since they were first linked in 2019. The celebrities have been a part of huge milestones in each other’s lives, like Shaun’s last ride at the 2022 Winter Olympics before his retirement.

“I couldn’t be more proud. Of everything you have accomplished over the last 20 years as a competitor and the man you have become. You are one of a kind,” Nina wrote of Shaun via Instagram after the Winter Olympics in February 2022.

She later added, “You will forever be the G.O.A.T. of snowboarding. Not to mention you are also the G.(B).O.A.T. = Greatest Boyfriend Of All Time.”

Nina and Shaun moved in together during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and Life & Style reported that they purchased a $4.3 million Hollywood Hills home three years later.

“Nina and Shaun have been serious for a long time, so it makes sense that they’re moving in together,” a source exclusively told Life & Style at the time. “They can’t wait to turn this into their dream home, with the help of a designer. This is a huge step for them, and friends are just waiting for Shaun to propose now.”
