Although some of the Vanderpump Rules cast had speculated about an affair between Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss, Lisa Vanderpump had remained mostly tight-lipped on the subject. However, on May 27, the restaurant owner admitted on Twitter that she had only found out about the affair just before it became public knowledge. Keep reading to find out more about when Lisa learned about the situation.

There had been rumors that Lisa had known about the affair ahead of its March 2023 reveal, which confirmed that Tom had cheated on Ariana Madix after nine years of dating. Both Tom and Raquel issued public apologies to Ariana after their affair became public.

In an interview with Page Six on May 24, Lisa explained that she never reveals details prematurely. Fans had previously speculated about whether or not Lisa was aware of the affair due to her close personal and professional relationships with the cast members, including Tom, with whom she co-owns the bar TomTom in West Hollywood.

During the season 10 finale on May 17, Lisa privately spoke to Tom about the affair, receiving criticism from viewers who believed she hadn't been harsh enough. However, the Bravo personality explained that she was trying to calm things down and help Tom move forward.

Speculation that Lisa had been aware of the affair continued when Lala Kent called Tom a "dangerous human being" in a teaser clip for the season 10 reunion, comparing him to her ex-fiancé, Randall Emmett, who allegedly cheated on her. While Lisa pushed back against Lala's comment, Lala stood by her statement, saying that she didn't want anyone else's opinion.

Meanwhile, Ariana appeared on the May 24 episode of "Call Her Daddy," where she shared her thoughts on whether Lisa had knowingly protected Tom during his affair with Raquel. According to Ariana, she didn't believe that Lisa had intentionally covered up the situation.
