Is Meghan Markle Returning to Acting with her Deal with Hollywood Agency WME?
Meghan Markle has signed with talent agency WME, following her and Prince Harry's departure from their roles within the royal family. WME announced on Thursday, April 27 that they are representing the Duchess of Sussex "in all areas". Variety reports that Meghan's team will include Jill Smoller, an agent for her close friend Serena Williams. WME will also take over representation for Meghan and Harry's production company, Archewell Productions, which was founded in 2020. Despite working on film and television projects with Netflix, Meghan has confirmed that acting won't be a focus for her partnership with WME.
Following their move to California in 2020, Meghan and Harry have been candid about their experiences overseas. While Meghan won't be returning to acting anytime soon, she has disclosed that she wouldn't object if her children, Archie and Lilibet, pursued careers in the entertainment industry. The couple are raising their children in the US and have been focusing on charitable endeavors and producing projects through Archewell.
Harry has also been pursuing creative projects of his own, including making documentaries focused on social causes. Though he didn't consider working in the entertainment industry when he was a royal, he is now exploring new opportunities after stepping back from the family.
