Victor Wembanyama has inked a deal to become the latest brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton

The news was shared by Benjamin Fitzgerald on February 20, 2024. The French luxury house has expanded its ambassadorial rankings with Victor Wembanyama, a renowned French basketball player. Victor, affectionately known as 'Wemby', is now an official ambassador for the LVMH-owned brand. His responsibilities will involve representing Louis Vuitton at significant events and featuring in the brand's promotional campaigns.

In a statement, Louis Vuitton said, "Victor embodies the pursuit of excellence and the constant fine-tuning of skills. In partnering with Louis Vuitton, the values and ambitions of this young athlete align seamlessly with ours. Much like Louis Vuitton himself, Victor has forged a path to success and is at the start of what promises to be an outstanding career."

In 2023, Wembanyama was the top pick in the NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs. The 20-year-old also has a significant social media presence with a following of 3.6 million on Instagram alone.

Wembanyama joins a roster of high-profile athletes at Louis Vuitton, including Carlos Alcaraz and Naomi Osaka from the world of tennis, skier Eileen Gu, swimmer Leon Marchand, and fencer Enzo Lefort.

Looking into the future, parent company LVMH is getting ready for the Summer Olympics in Paris and will serve as a critical partner of the Games taking place in July and August.
