Kyle Richards Gets Emotional Discussing Mauricio Umansky Breakup at BravoCon: 'Trying to Find Solutions'

During a panel at BravoCon in Las Vegas on Sunday, November 5, Kyle Richards from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was visibly upset while discussing her separation from her husband, Mauricio Umansky.

"We're a family regardless of the outcomes," stated Kyle, 54. "Our family unit is very robust. Our three daughters, Alexia, Sophia and Portia, still reside at home so it feels like, 'Who's going to attend tonight's dinner?' when it comes to the family chats. Although Dancing with the Stars kept him quite occupied and he wasn't home quite often, we're trying hard to make things work because we know we love each other."

At this point, Kyle became emotional and had to take a moment to compose herself. "Many people question what's going through my mind, urging me to put myself together and fix things. Clearly, that's what I'm striving for," she added. "This wasn't the fairytale I was hoping for. But I do appreciate everyone's support."

The couple, Kyle and Mauricio, 53, exchanged vows in January 1996. Come July, they expressed their toughest year within their matrimony following rumors of their breakup. However, they vehemently declared that divorce wasn't in their cards.

"Any divorce discussions related to us are inaccurate," the couple stated jointly. "We can, however, acknowledge that we've had a tough year."

However, during a November 4 BravoCon interview, Kyle showed a shift when she labeled the separation as a "divorce" for the first time. "I've gone through quite tumultuous events this year that have made me stronger and changed me as an individual," she expressed. "The loss of a best friend to suicide and my divorce have had significant impact."

This interview occurred post Mauricio's departure from Dancing with the Stars, where he was partnered with Emma Slater. Mauricio and Emma, 34, were spotted together at various occasions outside the dance floor before and after the show. They were even seen hand in hand after a dinner date.

Despite Mauricio and Emma refuting dating rumors, Kyle confessed her hurt seeing her estranged husband's intimate photos with another woman. "It was tough to see," Kyle confessed on the November 1 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. "It hurt me."

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which airs every Wednesday on Bravo, will capture the marital issues of Kyle and Mauricio in its ongoing season. Having a camera crew around during such a difficult phase was challenging, confessed Kyle.

"Understanding it in my own life was difficult enough, let alone on camera," she said during a conversation with Entertainment Tonight. "So there was a lot of initial confusion, like 'What's really happening?' People are eager to inflate drama, but it's clear I was dealing with a tough time. My anger and upset are pretty apparent."
