Kourtney Kardashian Responds to Criticism Following Shanna Moakler's Comments on Her Marriage to Travis Barker
Kourtney Kardashian has responded to the negativity she has been receiving online, just a day after Shanna Moakler called her marriage to Travis Barker "weird." Through her Instagram Stories on Thursday, April 20, the Lemme founder, aged 44, shared two biblical quotes along with a message urging people to do better for themselves, their children, and loved ones. She added that "negativity and hate will not make you feel happier." Kourtney, a star of the Kardashian family reality show, went on to say that although the positive far outweighs the negative, it is still hard not to feel criticized with every little action. She concluded by imagining what good things people could achieve if they used their energy for positivity. Alongside her lengthy message, Kourtney also uploaded several sweet snaps from her 44th birthday celebration.
Though she did not mention her by name, Shanna, aged 48, made headlines this week for her comments criticizing Kourtney's marriage to Travis, her ex-husband. In a podcast appearance on Wednesday, April 19, Shanna admitted that she has nothing positive to say about their relationship, stating that it is just "weird." Shanna and Travis were married from 2004 to 2008 and share two children, Landon and Alabama Barker, in addition to stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya. Kourtney and Travis tied the knot in Italy in May 2022. Shanna has previously criticized their relationship on social media.
Recently, Shanna "liked" a comment from a fan who claimed that Shanna deserves an apology from Travis and Kourtney for their Hulu wedding special, hinting at parental alienation awareness. She has been quite vocal about her past relationship with the Blink-182 drummer and her discomfort with Kourtney being a stepmother to her children.
