Keleigh Sperry Opens Up About the Source of Taylor Swift's Opal Ring for Her Birthday
Keleigh Sperry has disclosed the real buyer of an opal ring Taylor Swift received, debunking beliefs that Travis Kelce was the purchaser as a birthday gift for Swift.
Keleigh, 31, held an Instagram Story session on Thursday, Dec 21, during which she mentioned her affection for a ring that she had crafted for a friend. This revelation occurred as Travis, 34, was being purported to be the one who gifted Taylor, 34, the piece.
In a subsequent slide, Keleigh posted a video where Taylor can be observed appreciating the ring. The “Enchanted” singer’s expression was of awe as she concentrated the camera on the jewelry and then turned the camera towards Miles Teller’s spouse, expressing that the gift seemed more suited for the likes of Elizabeth Taylor.
After Swift flaunted the ring in multiple photos from her birthday party on Dec 13, Keleigh sparked off whispers about Travis being the supposed ring bearer when she showed interest in a TikTok video, portraying why a fan thought the sportsman was indeed the one who had bought the ring.
The video had the fan requesting viewers if they could identify the gems that adorned the giant piece of ornament. The fan further emphasized that the ring looked as if it was centered around a large opal stone, accompanied by multiple, smaller blue topaz pieces.
As per the social media user's breakdown of the jewelry, blue topaz could be linked to birthdays in December while opal was a birthstone for the month of October, alluding to Taylor and Travis' respective birthdays.
It was also observed by the TikTok user that Taylor seemed to be focusing the spotlight on her ring in several photos throughout the night.
Despite Travis missing the party due to practice commitments, he and Taylor caught up later that week when Taylor went to watch the Chiefs versus New England Patriots game in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on December 17.
Taylor went to the sporting event with her dad, Scott Swift, and friends Ashley Avignone and Alana Haim. She was also seen in the company of Brittany Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes’ wife, rooting for Travis.
After being met with disapproval when the spectators objected to her being featured on the jumbotron, Taylor’s presence at the match was later addressed by Travis in the Dec 20 episode of his “New Heights” podcast.
Despite being booed by a few, Travis pointed out, the majority of the crowd was visibly thrilled to see Swift.
The comment about 'a few' referred to Taylor’s recent conversation with TIME, where she opened up about choosing to go to her boyfriend’s matches, regardless of any negative opinions.
She pointed out her obliviousness about the broadcast camera’s location and the frequency of her appearances in the camera’s field of view during the matches, emphasizing her intent on merely supporting Travis.
