Kaitlyn Bristowe seemingly threw a negative remark towards her ex, Nick Viall, after he ridiculed her recent statement of feeling "asexual."

Bristowe, 38, posted on Instagram, "Aloha to everyone except for those who mock my sexuality for likes. I would be having a libido expert on the podcast soon. DM the podcast page for questions.” She added two photos in which she wore a black swimsuit during her holiday in Maui, Hawaii, taken on Thursday, February 15.

Her post appeared a week after she revealed the absence of her sexual desire at the end of her relationships during her February 6 episode of the “Off the Vine” podcast. Though she didn’t mention the names of any of her exes, many of her fans guessed the statement was about her ex-fiancé, Jason Tartick.

She shared on the podcast, “I believed I was asexual. I sincerely thought I was asexual. I wondered, ‘I am beginning to see myself more with a woman’ — I really thought that — than with a man. I understand it. I think women are sexy. I could do that."

Nick Viall, 43, popped himself into the scene with a doubtful comment on one of Jason’s Instagram posts two days post the podcast episode's release. Jason, 35, posted a shirtless photo of himself with Tyler Cameron, another Bachelor Nation alum. This led Nick to comment, “Nothing asexual about this.”

When Viall left this comment, Jason was asked his views on this during an interview with Page Six. “Nick’s a friend. I love Nick,” Jason stated, avoiding a direct response. “I find what Nick is doing with his podcast fascinating and, you know what? I like Nick. Nick’s a good guy.”

Nick and Kaitlyn initially met when she was the lead of The Bachelorette during its 11th season in 2015. He ended the show in the second place. She concluded the season engaged to Shawn Booth. The duo parted in 2018, and the following year, Kaitlyn began dating Jason. They became engaged in 2021 and surprised their fans by announcing their break-up in August 2023.

They released a joint statement on Instagram saying, “After sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement. We are thankful for all of you who gave us the time and space to process this life altering decision as there are many emotions and changes to navigate.”

Now single, Jason has drawn interest from fans as the next potential Bachelor. However, the Buffalo, New York, native admitted he doesn’t see himself taking up the leading role. “I think I’m probably too old,” he said during the January 15 episode of his “Trading Secrets” podcast. “I think, you know, 35 for a Bachelor is kind of old.”
