Joe Alwyn Steps Out in Public for the First Time Following Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Relationship
Joe Alwyn was publicly seen for the first time after his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift started dating Travis Kelce.
The 32-year-old actor, famed for his role in Mary Queen of Scots, made his appearance at the GQ Men of the Year Awards held in London’s Royal Opera House on November 15. Dressed in a leather blazer, white dress shirt and black tie, Joe posed for pictures on the red carpet.
Joe’s last public engagement was his attendance of the Cannes Film Festival in May. His appearance came a month after he and Taylor, 33, ended their six-year long relationship in April.
Taylor nor Joe have publically acknowledged their split. According to an insider source reporting to Life & Style, those close to Taylor were not “shocked by the breakup”. The source went onto say that Taylor did not want sympathy from anyone, especially her fans as "this is life" and "breakups happen all the time”.
Since their split, Joe has kept a low profile. In contrast, the “Enchanted” singer, Taylor, has been in the news for her blooming relationship with Travis Kelce, aged 34.
Recently, Travis, who is a player for the Kansas City Chiefs, traveled to Argentina to watch Taylor perform live on her Eras tour on November 11. During the performance, Travis was seen with Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, in the VIP section while Taylor passionately kissed him at the end of the gig.
Taylor acknowledged Travis when she altered the lyrics of her song “Karma”. The song's lyric, "Karma is the guy on the screen" changed to mention Travis with "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs”. This was seen as a subtle jab at Joe, as the original line was about him.
While speaking on the November 15 episode of his "New Heights", Travis shared his first-time experience of meeting Scott. Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce, spoke about Scott joining Travis and Taylor for dinner before the concert.
Over the meal, Travis managed to convince Scott, a massive Philadelphia Eagles fan, to wear a Chiefs lanyard at Taylor’s concert. Travis, revealing this to Jason, joked about how his good looks and relationship with Taylor persuaded Scott to alter his lifelong allegiance of supporting the Eagles.
As per Travis, Scott is “a massive football guy" and played college football initially at Hawaii, and then at Delaware, playing as a linebacker and center.
With Travis having met Scott, and Taylor having watched Travis play football alongside his parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, the couples are now planning on introducing their parents to each other. Sources report that Scott and Andrea Swift are set to meet Donna and Ed when the Chiefs face the Eagles on November 20.
