Jesy Nelson Reveals Doctor Suggested Breast Augmentation Amid Body Insecurities - OK! Magazine
Jesy Nelson has claimed a doctor told her she 'needed' a boob job as she opened up about her body insecurities. The former Little Mix star, 33, revealed she was in a very 'insecure stage' of her life and 'just wanted to feel loved'.
Taking to Instagram today (Thursday, October 31), Jesy shared a clip from the Sisters in the City podcast with Anna and Mandi Vakili, in which they discussed cosmetic surgery. The topic encouraged the singer to share her own views and battles with former insecurities.
In a lengthy caption, Jesy openly said: 'I absolutely adore these two for being so real about this shit. I was actually going to get a boob job two years ago because a doctor once told me I needed it. I was in a very insecure stage of my life, and I just wanted to feel loved. But I didn't really know that about myself until I did real work on my inner self that I realised no boob job would fix that.'
She continued: 'Anyway, what I'm trying to say is I'm so so thankful that I never got them done because I know I would have regretted it. I'm not against anyone having things done if it genuinely is going to make you happy and feel better because everybody needs to live there life how they want to.'
In a warning to her 9.7M followers, Jesy ended with: 'But please, please, like these two are saying, really think about it because these things can't be reversed and could cause you to feel worse about yourself. We are all born different for a reason, and that's f**king beautiful.'
The post comes after Jesy shared a cryptic post hinting at 'gross people' shortly after her former Little Mix bandmate Perrie Edwards opened up about the pair's broken friendship. Perrie, who shot to stardom alongside Jesy, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall, spoke candidly about their 'heartbreaking' split in friendships.
While appearing on Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast, Perrie noted that she hasn't been in touch with Jesy for quite some time and was unsure about whether to approach her ex-bandmate. During the emotional conversation, Perrie expressed: 'When it's a friend, you don't really hear about it that much in music, so I was like, I'm going to write about it because it's just as heartbreaking if not worse.'

'When you've been in that person's life for years, they've had your back, and you've been highs, lows, everything and poof, they're gone. That is hard to deal with. I struggled a lot with that. It's really sad, but at the same time, these things sometimes happen.'
Shortly after the podcast episode, Jesy posted a cryptic note on her Instagram Stories, which has left fans puzzled. Over a pitch-black background, she simply wrote: 'The internet is gross, and so are humans.'
Jesy left the chart-topping girl group at the end of 2020, with Perrie, Leigh-Anne and Jade revealing their plans to push forward as a trio. The group then announced they'd be pausing their music journey as a hiatus in December 2021, a year after Jesy's exit due to struggles with her mental health.
