After a mishap, Jeremy Renner strolls through the Rennervations L.A. red carpet premiere.
Jeremy Renner received an outpouring of support on his first red carpet appearance after a near-fatal snowplow accident. The 52-year-old Avengers actor attended the premiere of his Disney+ reality series Rennervations at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles. Renner walked the red carpet with a cane in his right hand and held the hand of his 10-year-old daughter, Ava Berlin Renner, with his left. Despite breaking more than 30 bones and undergoing multiple surgeries after surviving the accident on his property outside Reno, Nevada, on Jan. 1, Renner was in good spirits with his family at the premiere.
On Monday night, Renner appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! for an interview, where he did a little dance while walking on stage using a cane. Host Kimmel joked with Renner, discussing who the toughest Avenger was, saying, "If there was any question as to who the toughest Avenger was, that's settled now."
The series Rennervations features Renner and his famous friends, such as Vanessa Hudgens, Anthony Mackie, Anil Kapoor, and Sebastián Yatra helping out charities by reconstructing decommissioned vehicles for new uses. The actor's best friend, Rory Millikin, also plays a role in the series. Millikin says Renner's spirits while recovering from the accident are inspirational and that he carries the burden very heroically.
Renner's first interview since the accident aired on Thursday and is now streaming on Hulu. He says he has shifted the narrative of being victimized and that he refuses to be haunted by that memory. Rennervations debuts on Disney+ on Wednesday.
