Jeannie Mai has requested a judge to delay the enforcement of the prenuptial agreement in her divorce from Jeezy, according to confirmed reports from Life & Style.

Life & Style acquired documents, which were submitted on Thursday, January 18, stating, “Around March 22, 2021, five days before their nuptial ceremony, Ms. Jenkins employed the below signed lawyer for her representation during prenuptial discussions initiated by Mr. Jenkins.”

The lawyers of Jeannie argued that it was expected from both sides to completely disclose their financial standings, including a detailed account of their assets and liabilities.

However, the lawyers of the former talk show host indicated that the couple signed their prenuptial agreement on March 26, one day before their wedding. They further argued, “The brief period for negotiation raises serious questions about the adequacy and completeness of the due diligence process, and each party’s full and accurate disclosure of their financial states. Considering the short timeframe, it was extremely difficult, if not impossible, for either party to conduct extensive due diligence. This led to an inability to fully understand, examine, and verify the authenticity of disclosed financial data, further questioning the genuineness of the agreement’s authenticity.”

The documents also mention that Jeannie, 45, “has substantial doubts about Mr. Jenkins' financial disclosures, requiring an exhaustive investigation through discovery procedures prior to the enforcement of the Prenuptial Agreement.” Her legal team wants the court to either hold or deny the enforcement of the prenup until the investigation concludes.

The newest filing occurred four months post Jeezy, 46, filed for divorce from Jeannie following a two-and-a-half-year marriage. The couple started dating in November 2018, got betrothed in April 2020, married in March 2021, and their daughter Monaco was born in January 2022. Initially, the news of their separation was a surprise to fans when Jeezy filed divorce papers on September 14, 2023.

However, Jeannie's recent filing contradicts her initial response to Jeezy's divorce application. The Real alum hinted towards possible infidelity by Jeezy in the documents filed on November 30, 2023, when she requested her attorney to enforce a specific clause in their prenup concerning “infidelity.”

The prenuptial agreement was worded as such: The party committing adultery would incur a “considerable financial penalty” if they “[participated] in sexual activities, emotional relationships, or [were] emotionally or sexually suggestive in communication with a third party through all electronic communication modes including but not limited to texting, sexting, Facetiming, social networking and/or direct messages,” as per the documents obtained by Life & Style.

Jeezy's representative released a statement denying the claims made by Jeannie. “All allegations of disloyalty on Mr Jenkins' part are entirely false and we have no additional comments at this time,” the rapper’s representative informed Us Weekly in December 2023.

Jeezy subsequently alleged that Jeannie was limiting access to their daughter, Monaco, and requested a custody hearing. A reliable source informed Life & Style exclusively in December 2023, “The situation has unfortunately turned into a 'he-said-she-said' scenario", with no signs of reconciliation in sight.
