Bastien Daguzan, CEO of Jacquemus, Departs from the Company
Bastien Daguzan, CEO of Jacquemus since May 2022, has exited the French firm, effective from December 23. The announcement was made in a company press release. Daguzan thanked Simon, the company's founder and owner, for his trust and for the amazing journey they embarked on together with the team. He emphasized Simon's role as a significant source of inspiration and expressed pride in having been part of the adventure.
Simon Porte Jacquemus, appreciated his ex-CEO for the nearly two-year-long partnership, lauding him as the catalyst behind the company and its control. He further extended his well wishes for Daguzan's future endeavours. However, this polite exchange could barely disguise the complicated situation underneath.
Barely a few weeks ago, Daguzan was elevated to the position of president of the French company, a role previously held by its founder since its inception in 2009. Jacquemus expressed objectives of surging sales to a target of €200 million by 2022, which necessitates specialized operational command.
However, Daguzan, who formerly led Paco Rabanne and Lemaire, appeared dedicated to a prolongated relationship with the designer's brand. But his departure in December stirred questions about Jacquemus' leadership in the days to come and the future prospects of its now ex-CEO.
