Is Jimmy Fallon's Relationship with Nancy Juvonen in Turmoil? Marital Problems Intensified by Writers’ Strike
The writers' strike has reportedly exacerbated issues between Jimmy Fallon and his wife Nancy Juvonen, placing their marriage in jeopardy.
An anonymous source shared with In Touch on Friday, October 20, that the couple's relationship has always been challenging, but has worsened recently. Their disagreements run the spectrum of money, lifestyle choices, and Fallon's consumption habits. The source described Nancy, 56, as being excessively dominant, which has stressed the relationship excessively.
In Touch further reported that although The Tonight Show host, 49, is generally a pleasant person, he also has his own troubles and tends to prioritize his own needs. The source added, "In the past, Nancy has condoned a lot of his behavior. They had a wild lifestyle together once upon a time. He used to have a lot of freedom. But now, things are different, they hardly spend any time together."
The tabloid also noted that geographic distance is adding to the couple's problems. Fallon moved from New York City to Long Island without any apparent reason. "Nancy and the children often spend summers and many weekends in Sagaponack," commented another source about the host's family.
Fallon and Nancy commenced dating when they co-worked on the film "Fever Pitch" in 2005, meeting the previous year through shared friend Drew Barrymore. Fallon starred in this baseball-themed movie with Drew, while Nancy's production company, Flower Films, produced it.
The host reminisced about their initial meeting in an April 2020 episode of The Tonight Show, expressing, "[Nancy] simply stood out in this gray [background], almost as if she was a vividly colored painting."
They tied the knot in December 2007, with daughters Winnie and Frances arriving via surrogacy in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
In December 2021, celebrating their 14-year wedding anniversary, Fallon expressed his affection for his wife on Instagram. However, he joked that as his wife was not active on social media, their children would likely only see the post in the future and get a glimpse of their father's romantic side.
Despite maintaining a rather low-key public profile about their relationship, the anonymous source mentioned to In Touch that in the event of a divorce, "she's going to take every penny." Reports estimate that Fallon earns about $16 million annually and has accumulated a net worth of about $70 million.
