Fans of Joey Essex were left gobsmacked when the TOWIE star made a surprise appearance on Love Island earlier this month. Now, they're clamouring for his lookalike to join the show in the upcoming series.

Josh Miles, known as @joshmiles02 on social media, recently went viral after he transformed himself into the 33-year-old reality star using just hair products. His video, which has garnered over 153,000 likes, was set to a clip from Essex's track 'Reem'.

The tune, released back in 2011, was named after a slang term that gained popularity following Joey's stint on ITV2's The Only Way Is Essex. The word 'reem' is used to describe something that's 'brilliant, good, cool, fashionable'.

In the video, Josh can be seen using VO5 hair gel, a comb and a hair dryer to recreate Joey's iconic 'reem' look. He captioned the post: 'The easiest hair tutorial to date.'

The final result sent TikTok users into a frenzy, with many urging Josh to follow in Joey Essex's footsteps and make an appearance on Love Island himself. One user commented: 'Should go on Love Island.'

Another chimed in: 'Go on Love Island next year.' A third fan wrote: 'That's reem,' while another added: 'Slick backs always.'

Joey Essex, a familiar face to reality TV fans, has been revealed as the first Bombshell of the new summer series of Love Island. This marks a first for the popular dating show, as previous Islanders like Adam Collard and Kady McDermott have returned for another shot at love, but Joey is the first celebrity to join the villa.

The TOWIE star, known for his catchphrase 'reem', has graced our screens on numerous reality shows since his debut in 2011. His reality TV journey includes a stint on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

In 2013, Essex won Channel 4's The Jump, made two appearances on Celebs Go Dating, had a stint on Celebrity Ex on the Beach, testing his mettle on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, cooking on Celebrity MasterChef and diving into the first series of Splash!

More recently, the former fiance of Sam Faiers braved the Australian jungle in the 8th series of 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! ' Down Under, finishing in a commendable sixth place. Fast forward to 2023, and he skated his way to second place in the 15th series of 'Dancing on Ice.'
