Howie Mandel Responds to Tom Sandoval's Interview Criticism

After facing criticism from Andy Cohen and numerous fans of Vanderpump Rules, Howie Mandel has responded to the backlash. In an interview with Extra's Billy Bush on Wednesday, April 12, the America's Got Talent judge revealed that he does not watch Vanderpump Rules, despite wanting to interview Tom Sandoval following his cheating scandal with Raquel Leviss.

Although Howie had heard of "Scandoval," a character on the show, he had not watched the series or done any research prior to the interview. Andy Cohen had accused Howie of not being familiar with the show or its cast members during an episode of Sirius XM's Andy Cohen Live on April 12.

Howie, however, defended himself stating, "I know who he is. I wasn't gonna weaponize his information and kind of, you know, challenge him on each thing." He also sympathized with Tom, calling him a "a very sweet guy who is going through a real rough time right now."

The interview has caused a stir among Bravo fans and even led Andy Cohen to question Tom's decision to appear on the podcast in the first place.
