How I Met Your Father's Francia Raisa is not ready to let go of the show even after the cancellation, during an exclusive session with Life & Style, she encouraged fans to assist in bringing the show back.

When the comedic show was discontinued after its two seasons in September 2023, numerous fans were upset following the cliffhanger at the Season 2's conclusion. Francia, aged 35, expressed her thoughts about her future character, Valentina, if the show moves forward. She admitted her interest in seeing the evolving love triangle involving Josh Peck’s character, especially since it was revealed Valentina ends up having a child with Charlie, the character played by Tom Ainsley.

Francia spoke to Life & Style during The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection Concert on Wednesday, January 31, and recalled Valentina’s surprising scene with Josh, 37. She found the scene, where she kisses Josh's character, particularly shocking since his character was formerly in a relationship with Sophie, Hilary Duff’s character.

“I was wondering what would happen next? Would Sophie and Valentina face a confrontation? Or would Sophie simply not care?” she continued.

According to her, viewers are also curious to find answers to these questions. She further hinted at a way for fans to help revive the show, suggesting a petition to the showrunners.

The actress of The Secret Life of the American Teenager added that the show creators have yet to disclose who is the father of Sophie’s son. “I questioned who the father was, and they told me they would reveal if the show is cancelled,” she revealed. “But I haven’t received a call yet, so we’ll see.”

Next to her discussion about the spinoff of How I Met Your Mother, Francia – who donated a kidney to Selena Gomez in 2017 – also expressed the significance of health awareness during the event.

“All of us, particularly women, due to our complex physical conditions and hormonal changes, must prioritize health,” she conveyed. “Feeling unusual emotions is not an indication of madness; it’s a sign that something might be happening to your body,” she added. She concludes by expressing her appreciation for the event that encourages more discussions and comprehensions of these matters.
