Alana Thompson, aka 'Honey Boo Boo', Proudly Graduates High School

Honey Boo Boo, real name Alana Thompson, has officially graduated high school in Georgia, much to the delight of her family. Her sister, Pumpkin, shared a series of photos on Instagram of the pair following the ceremony on May 20. Pumpkin wrote, "To be there [to] witness this next chapter, I'm amazed. Amazed at how much you've grown, how beautiful your soul is and most importantly how far you've come against all odds."

To celebrate the momentous occasion, Alana wore a bright yellow gown and a custom decorated cap designed by Kim's Custom Caps, featuring a bedazzled lace crown, cut-out paper flowers, and a pearl and rhinestone outline. Her mother, Mama June Shannon, was present for the graduation, and shared a video on Instagram where she wrote "yes, we were hollering the whole time. WTG LANA!"

Alana was also recently in the news for attending senior prom with boyfriend Dralin Carswell, looking stunning in a custom pink sleeveless gown with detailed beadwork, and head-to-toe sparkles.

Alana's high school journey has been rocky, as she was the subject of a heated custody battle between her mother and older sister Pumpkin in 2022. Despite the family's troubles, Mama June told Page Six in June 2022 that she and Alana still communicate, and the only difference is that they don't see each other every day.

The family rose to fame in 2012 after appearing on TLC's Toddlers and Tiaras, and then went on to star in their own spinoff series, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. They have since returned to TV, with Mama June undergoing a weight loss transformation on Mama June: From Not to Hot, which was later rebranded as Mama June: Family Crisis and Mama June: Road to Redemption.
