Theresa Nist's Daughter Shares Wedding Plans: 'We're thrilled!'
Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist are not the only ones excited about their wedding after ringing in the New Year. The family of the 'Golden Bachelor' couple is heavily involved in the wedding plans. The anticipation of the big day was heightened when Theresa's daughter, Jen Woolston, shared her excitement with Life & Style. She expressed how thrilled they all are for the upcoming nuptials.
"Since I'm a wedding planner, I love weddings. This one is even more special because Mindy Weiss is planning it," Jen said. "Every day we have to make numerous decisions. I can hardly imagine how it will feel to be there and see everything come to life on the wedding day. Even though we're in the know, I think it will feel like a big surprise," she added.
Currently, Jen is preparing her maid-of-honor speech while her 70-year-old mom is working on her heartfelt vows. They're also finalising last-minute details and making final arrangements like song selections for the ceremony and garment alterations.
As a wedding planner, Jen has some impressive props. Among her collection is a 1971 Volkswagen bus converted into a photo booth. However, she clarified this wouldn’t be included in the nuptials that will take place across the country.
"We have some mobile bars known as Piaggio Apes. We discussed having them at the wedding, but we want to enjoy the occasion as guests instead of handling these vehicles from New Jersey to California," she told Life & Style.
During the ceremony, Theresa's daughter will fulfil her duty as the maid-of-honor standing next to her mother at the altar. Meanwhile, Theresa's sister-in-law and Gerry’s daughters, Angie Wagner and Jenny Young, will be the bridesmaids. "Gerry’s granddaughters will take on the role of junior bridesmaids," Jen further shared. "And they will be wearing a different dress from the four of us, but still being part of it."
Though planning has been mostly smooth, not all wishes could be granted as Theresa's dream of having her sisters as flower girls was unable to materialize.
"They had to let go of it as it won't fit into the live televised ceremony. There's a real timeline that has to be strictly adhered to. So, it seems unlikely to happen, unfortunately," Jen revealed to Life & Style.
