Theresa Nist's Daughter Shares Mom's Reaction to Ex Scandal Involving Gerry Turner
Shockwaves were sent through Bachelor Nation when Gerry Turner’s ex made shocking allegations in an introspective piece about The Golden Bachelor leader on November 29. Gerry’s soon-to-be-wife, Theresa Nist, has not yet made a public statement concerning the scandal. Nonetheless, her daughter, Jen Woolston, exclusively shared her thoughts on Theresa's reaction to the allegations with Life & Style.
Jen, 38, shared to Life & Style on Monday, December 18, “My mom and Gerry spoke about it, and I am not fully aware of their entire conversion; however, she seems quite satisfied with their discussions”. She added, “I think there is some grain of truth in the allegations and they have reached an understanding, which is good enough for me.”
Theresa, 70, is in a comfortable place concerning everything that has transpired with Gerry, 72. The two got engaged on the finale of The Golden Bachelor, which aired on November 30, the owner of The Roving Bar confirmed. “The producers of The Bachelor sometimes simplify the narrative for the sake of the viewers. All the intricate details of a person's life are not shared with the public. After all, he is 72 and not every aspect of his life will be aired publically.”
Controversy surrounded Gerry when The Hollywood Reporter published an interview with a woman known as Carolyn. She mentioned that she was in a relationship with the ex-restaurateur for around three years, starting after the death of his wife, Toni, in 2017. Gerry subtly insinuated on The Golden Bachelor that his dating life had been limited since Toni’s demise. He also made a claim that he hadn’t kissed another woman since Toni passed away.
Gerry didn’t directly speak about his relationship with Carolyn but commented on the story in an interview on December 1. “My only reaction to this as many positives now surround my life”, said the father of two. “I am in love with Theresa, my partner, and do not have the time to ponder on such allegations. Looking forward to a happier future is my focus now.”
Theresa and Gerry are set to wed on January 4 in a televised ceremony on ABC. Jen confirmed her excitement about her mother's impending nuptials.
Jen, a New Jersey native, owns The Roving Bar, a company that offers Piaggio Apes and Vespas as mobile bars for weddings and other occasions. The company also owns a VW Booth Bus equipped with a photo booth for parties. “We have been operating it in New Jersey for about seven years,” she revealed. “My husband also owns another business called Vintage Truck Purveyors. He imports various vehicles and converts them into flower carts, pizza trucks, bars, etc. and these are then transported all over the country.”
