"All You Need to Know About Yelena and Bucky's Movie: Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan to Star in Marvel's 'Thunderbolts'"
Great news for Marvel fans! Florence Pugh has confirmed that she will star in the upcoming all-star movie Thunderbolts, alongside Sebastian Stan and other familiar faces.
At the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, Marvel confirmed that Pugh, who was nominated for an Oscar, will reprise her role as Yelena Belova, Natasha Romanoff’s little sister and an assassin from Russia’s Black Widow program. Pugh couldn't join the Disney convention in person but expressed her excitement to be joining the cast via a pre-recorded video.
While the plot of Thunderbolts is still unknown, the Marvel comics team was a Suicide Squad-like group of super villains who teamed up. The movie has fewer top-level bad guys and leans more into characters who waver between good and bad.
Olga Kurylenko, David Harbour and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who starred in the Black Widow movie, are also confirmed to join the cast. Additionally, Sebastian Stan will return as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier. Wyatt Russell, who played John Walker/U.S. Agent in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Hannah John-Kamen, who featured in Ant-Man and the Wasp, will also be part of the Thunderbolts team.
Marvel is keeping the details of the group's formation secret, but fans can stay tuned to learn more about this exciting new movie!
