Ed Kelce reveals that Travis is eager to join Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour in Sydney and Singapore
Ed Kelce, father of Travis Kelce, hinted that his son might be considering a journey to Sydney, Australia, to meet his girlfriend Taylor Swift. This comes amidst the speculations of him joining her on her Eras tour.
"After the Super Bowl, we had a chat. I inquired if he was planning a trip to Sydney. His response was positive," said 72-year-old Ed, during an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald on Tuesday, February 20. "He expressed his desire to visit Sydney and Singapore. However, he is also obligated to other commitments."
Taylor, 34, voyaged from Melbourne, Australia, to Sydney on Sunday, February 18, in preparation for her four sold-out concerts at Accor Stadium starting Friday, February 23. Fans speculated that 34-year-old Travis might visit Sydney either to spend time with Taylor or to watch her concert, based on a suspicious remark he made on the "New Heights" podcast he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce.
Very soon, I'm actually planning to explore an island," he mentioned on the podcast episode of February 14. "I'm clueless... my guess is the best ones are in the south, so I’m heading south."
Travis clarified that he would be absent for the next episode of “New Heights,” nevertheless, he didn’t reveal the reason behind this.
Taylor’s private jet was spotted going to Hawaii on Tuesday, without Taylor on-board as per The Daily Mail. Fans believe this could be a hint of Travis joining Taylor in Sydney, and the jet might be for fetching her boyfriend from Kansas City, Missouri. He will possibly go to Los Angeles, followed by Hawaii before finally flying to Sydney. If this turns out to be true, he'll reach Australia to watch Taylor's performance on February 23.
Travis was last seen on February 17, having lunch with a friend in Kansas City.
Post her Sydney gigs, Taylor will perform six shows in Singapore, starting from March 2. Later, she'll be touring France, Germany, Austria, Sweden and more. Travis is said to be contemplating spending time overseas with Taylor now that he has some free time after the Kansas City Chiefs' triumph against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.
"They are looking forward to their summer plans and are excited about their joint travels in Europe during Taylor's tour," an insider shared with People on February 13. "Football is Travis's life. He's truly devoted to it. But now, he's looking forward to having some downtime and being there for Taylor as she has always been for him."
