Examining the Style of Coachella 2023: A Look at the Best and Worst Dressed Celebrities

The much-awaited 2023 Coachella Valley Music Festival officially opened on Friday, April 14. It was a spectacle of boho-chic fashion as celebrities pulled out all stops with their wardrobe selection to attend the desert festival. However, while some of the stars undoubtedly looked amazing, some were less impressive with their fashion choices.

Actors, reality TV stars, musicians, and influencers opted for different looks, whether swimsuit tops to beat the heat or ripped denim daisy dukes. They even posed for photos before proceeding to enjoy the music with friends.

One notable attendee at the festival was Vanessa Hudgens. She always wows with her chic looks, from lace bikini tops to flared ponchos. The Tick, Tick … Boom actress exudes a level of fashion savvy hardly matched by other celebrities.

“It’s just such a fun place to dress however you want, and I definitely do,” Vanessa said in April 2022, speaking to E! News. “It’s really nice to be seen. That’s what we all want: to be seen and feel safe to express ourselves. Coachella has always been a place where I’ve felt safe to express myself."

Vanessa advises potential attendees to “express yourself” with outfit choices. However, she also reminds fans to keep the outdoor location in mind. “What everyone’s creativity looks like is different,” Vanessa continued. “I think just embrace and honor yourself and your taste and go from there. And honestly, it’s a festival. You’re going to be in the dirt, so, like don’t go too crazy."

As the true “Queen of Coachella,” the High School Musical star undoubtedly knows what she’s talking about when it comes to style.

Last year, other celebs such as new mom Keke Palmer and former Disney star Madison Pettis also attended the festival and were among the best dressed stars. Keke rocked the theme, wearing a brown fringe long-sleeved crop top with black bedazzled shorts and black booty heels, whereas Madison stunned in a sparkling scoop-neck top, denim shorts and white sneakers.

The event’s performers, of course, also shone in their fashionable outfits. One of the highlights was Megan Thee Stallion, who dazzled in a green metallic cut-out one-piece suit.
