Travis Kelce, a close friend and fellow National Football League (NFL) player Micah Parsons, disclosed that Travis gets an extra "confidence boost" when his girlfriend, singer Taylor Swift, is cheering for him from the audience. Travis, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, has been playing consistently well in recent years, but Micah believes Taylor’s presence offers him an extra edge.

In a Tuesday, October 24 episode of his podcast, “The Edge With Micah Parsons,” Micah, a Dallas Cowboys player mentioned that Travis, one of the best tight end players for the past few years, does not necessarily need a good luck charm, but the presence of his girlfriend surely impacts his performance on the field in a positive way.

Micah said that having a significant other watching you from the audience can provide an extra confidence boost. He believes this added confidence is helping Travis play and perform better on the field.

Rumours about Taylor dating Travis started in early September after Travis tried to give her a friendship bracelet at her concert in Kansas City in July. Taylor first attended a Chiefs game versus Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium on September 24, where she was seen cheering for Travis along with his mother, Donna Kelce. The Chiefs have won every game since Taylor started attending.

Even the Chiefs coach Andy Reid has noted the positive impact Taylor has been having on Travis' performance. He joked after the October 22 match against the Los Angeles Chargers that Travis' game is improving with Taylor around.

On the October 25 episode of their “New Heights” podcast, Travis and his brother Jason Kelce talked about the statistical improvement in Travis' performance when Taylor is in the audience. Jason pointed out that when Taylor is at the game, Travis averages 99 yards, but when she's absent, that number drops to 46.5 yards a game.

Travis found it hard to believe these stats and appreciated his coach's acknowledgment of Taylor's positive influence on his game. He was pleased knowing that his coach approves of his relationship.

Taylor seems to enjoy being Travis' cheerleader, enthusiastically cheering, shouting, and celebrating during every play. She was even seen sharing a secret handshake with Brittany Mahomes, wife of Travis’ teammate Patrick Mahomes, at one of their recent games. Taylor's animated reaction when Travis was tackled during the game went viral on social media.
