Conservatives' Claim: Taylor Swift and Joe Biden are One and the Same, Explains Their Mysterious Absence Together
Written by Bess Levin
Conservative right-wing minds seem to be in a tussle over the perceived involvement of various high-profile figures - Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, Joe Biden, the Super Bowl LVIII and the upcoming 2024 elections. According to them, these seemingly unrelated events are all part of a deep, clandestine conspiracy, further fueling their detachment from reality.
The displeasure against Taylor Swift has augmented over time, especially due to her presence at football games, perceived as a show of support to her partner. However, the frenzy took an unexpected turn when the Kansas City Chiefs seized the opportunity to be a part of the Super Bowl by defeating the Baltimore Ravens. To some Trump supporters, convinced by conspiracy theories, this series of events suggests a rigged Super Bowl, Swift's possible endorsement for Biden, and a covert operation running deep into the government.
Posts circulating on conservative platforms suggest conspiracy theories like "The Democrats' Taylor Swift election interference psyop is happening in the open" and that "NFL is totally RIGGED for the Kansas City Chiefs, Taylor Swift, Mr. Pfizer (Travis Kelce)". The GOP district chair from Georgia even associated Swift's influence on the young population with witchcraft.
Vivek Ramaswamy, a former presidential contender, expressed his wild speculations about the upcoming Super Bowl and the possibility of a big endorsement from a culturally prominent couple.
Apart from these speculations, New York Times reported that Biden's aides are working on a list of potential endorsements, including social media influencers, elected officials, and even global superstar Taylor Swift. However, conservative supporters are interpreting these routine campaign strategies as a ploy to rig the next election using Swift as a government pawn. A Fox News anchor fueled these theories by claiming that the Pentagon had discussed using Taylor Swift as an asset in a NATO meeting.
Fox News seemed to be perturbed by the possibility of Swift's endorsement for Biden. The argument, however, is not about Swift controlling the climate or the CIA potentially controlling Swift's fans' voting behaviour, but about GOP not securing any major endorsement. The channel urged the Republicans to get their acts together and match cards with the Democrats.
