Christina Hall’s Ex-Husband Ant Anstead Appears to Take Over for Josh Hall on 'The Flip Off' Following Divorce

The battle of the exes on The Flip Off is about to get even more interesting. Christina Hall’s second ex-husband, Ant Anstead, has seemingly replaced her estranged third husband, Josh Hall, on the show amid their divorce.

The Christina on the Coast star, 41, and the U.K. native, 45, were spotted filming her upcoming HGTV series together in Los Angeles on Thursday, November 7, according to photos published by People. The images showed Ant arriving on the set, a white home with black garage doors, and chatting with crew members before getting down to business with Christina.

In one shot, the exes appeared to be engaged in a friendly conversation, with Ant flashing a huge smile at Christina.

A source previously confirmed to People on Thursday that Ant was “going to appear on the show, but he won’t be Christina’s partner.”

The report came months after the real estate investor sparked rumors that Ant would somehow be involved in The Flip Off. “How awesome would it be to have Ant replace Josh on The Flip Off? Ratings would go through the roof. If it happens, I need some credit. Lol,” a fan commented on Instagram in July.

Christina replied, “LOL that would be a genius ‘ratings’ idea just sayin.”

However, she then shut down the idea while speaking to Backgrid, saying, “It would be good for ratings, but I can’t work with any more exes. I already work with Tarek.”

The Flip Off was announced in May — three months before Christina and Josh, 44, mutually filed for divorce — and is set to also star the HGTV personality’s first ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa.

“The exes are back — along with their new spouses — for a throwdown competition to see who can find, buy, renovate, and flip a house for the biggest financial gain, and the chance at bragging rights,” a statement about the show read. “The series launches in early 2025 with a super-sized premiere when Tarek and Christina are sure to bring the flipping drama.”

A source told Us Weekly on July 17 that Christina and her castmates were “moving forward” with production of The Flip Off “without Josh” after they both filed for divorce the day prior. The split quickly became messy, and Josh later accused his estranged wife of “scorched-earth divorce tactics.”

“[She is] seeking to have me removed from a contractual agreement we entered into for the production of a new HGTV show The Flip Off,” he stated in court documents obtained by In Touch in September.

Christina and Ant were not always on great terms after their divorce, either. However, a source exclusively told Life & Style on October 30 that the British automotive expert’s girlfriend, Renée Zellweger, helped them bury the hatchet, paving the way for his involvement in The Flip Off.

“She convinced Ant it’s silly to hold grudges and hated seeing him so worked up. Things are better now. She’s extended the olive branch to Christina, too, and looking forward to a drama-free holiday season,” the insider said.
