The Cannes Film Festival 2024 is set to unfold in style as celebrities from around the globe converge on the French Riviera. Known for its luxurious environment, including sandy beaches, plush hotels, pristine water and a taste for opulence, Cannes holds a special appeal during the international festival. Amidst this opulence, resortwear and cruise collections effortlessly blend in with the haute couture both on and off the red carpet.

The 2024 edition of the esteemed festival sees a stellar line-up featuring several much-awaited premieres. These will attract some of the leading names from the global movie industry, who will walk the famous Croisette in their best fashion ensembles. One such event to watch out for is the world premiere of Kinds of Kindness by Yorgos Lanthimos on May 17. The ensemble film includes Emma Stone, Joe Alwyn, Margaret Qualley, Hunter Schafer, Jesse Plemons, Hong Chau, Willem Dafoe, and Mamoudou Athie in its stellar cast. Additionally, the prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road (which had an out-of-competition screening at the 2015 festival), George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is slated for a premiere on May 15. Anticipation surrounds Anya Taylor-Joy who frequently dazzles with her unique style statements, recent of which include a metal Balmain minidress and a spiked Paco Rabanne headdress. Moreover, Taylor-Joy's Furiosa co-star Chris Hemsworth, also known for his fashion-forward approach, served as a co-chair at the Met Gala 2024 and featured on the cover of Vanity Fair.

Other highlights include Francis Ford Coppola’s passion project Megalopolis. The film marks the return of the 85-year-old director and narrates a tale of an architect who aspires to rebuild New York City after a disaster. Set to be premiered on May 16, the film features a power-packed star cast, including Adam Driver, Nathalie Emmanuel, Giancarlo Esposito, Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Dustin Hoffman, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, Chloe Fineman, Kathryn Hunter, Grace VanderWaal, James Remar, Talia Shire, and Jason Schwartzman.
