Britney Spears Responds to Justin Timberlake's Concert Diss: 'No Regrets!'

Britney Spears appears to have responded to her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake after he proclaimed during a concert in New York City on January 31 that he owed "absolutely f--king nobody" an apology.

On the morning after Justin's outburst on stage, the 42-year old "Womanizer" singer posted on Instagram. “Somebody informed me that somebody was disparaging me on the streets! Are you prepared to take it to court or will you retreat weeping to your mother as you did the previous time? I am unapologetic!" she affirmed.

Accompanying Britney's post was an image of a basketball going through a hoop with broken chains, which admirers interpreted as another clue, seeing as the former couple shared a love for the game.

The previous night's remark by Justin was caught on video, and several of Britney's supporters believed it to be a public reaction to accusations she made about him in her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me.

Though Britney did not explicitly mention Justin in her post, some followers were sure that Justin was targeting the “Piece of Me” singer when he made his remarks during a show at Irving Plaza, expressing their opinions on X.

“CONFIRMED: Justin Timberlake continues to be a misogynistic piece of f--king sh-t. I can't comprehend how anyone considers it 'cool' to publicly target a woman for 20 years," one person proclaimed while sharing the video of his comment, while another stated, “Justin continues to throw petty jabs at Britney. His ego won't let him evolve and move on — how pitiful.”

A separate fan who posted the video on X said, “Screw you Justin, I confess I enjoyed his music, and his new song was good, but I'm done with this guy. I'm no longer your fan, I was hoping for success for you. But no, karma is unforgiving, and while Britney is kind-hearted, I am not, and neither are her fans when you do her wrong."

One individual highlighted how Justin’s wife, Jessica Biel, might feel about the continuing feud between the ex-lovers by uploading a meme of a vexed woman, captioning it with, “Jessica Biel watching Justin Timberlake bring up Britney Spears on stage for the 20th consecutive year.”

According to her memoir, Britney, who was romantically involved with Justin between 1999 and 2022, explained that she became pregnant at the age of 17 and Justin was not ready to become a father. She had an abortion, which she later regretted.

“I was very much in love with Justin. I always assumed we would start a family together someday. But this came about far sooner than I ever imagined. Yet, Justin was far from pleased about the pregnancy. He argued that we weren't equipped to bring a baby into our lives, that we were way too young,” she claimed.

“If the decision had solely rested upon me, I never would have proceeded with it. But Justin was absolutely sure he didn't want to be a dad," the artist went on, saying, “To this day, it remains one of the most painful experiences of my life.”

Britney also insinuated that Justin was unfaithful during their romance. “There were several instances during our relationship when I was certain Justin had been unfaithful. However, as I was besotted and intensely in love, I overlooked it, despite the tabloids seemingly keen on shoving it in my face,” she revealed.

Justin has yet to issue a public response to the accusations leveled against him by Britney in her book.
