Blake Shelton recently unveiled his Valentine's Day plan with his wife, Gwen Stefani. This comes after speculation about issues in their marriage.

On Tuesday, February 12, the 47-year-old country star revealed through an Instagram post that he would be making an appearance with Gwen, 54, on Jimmy Kimmel Live! at 11:35 p.m. ET on Valentine's Day.

In his caption, Blake wrote, "We’ve got a Valentine’s Day date with @jimmykimmel!" He accompanied this post with a picture of him playing the guitar, with Gwen smiling nearby as she twirled her hair.

The couple's visit to the talk show was scheduled less than a week after they dropped their new duet titled "Purple Irises." In this song, Gwen and Blake express their enduring love for each other despite the passage of time.

The pre-chorus of the song has them sing, “It’s not 1999/ But this face is still mine/ The way you look at me/ I swear my heart hits rewind”, while the chorus sees them express the uniqueness of their bond.

Part of it goes, “But if someone comes along and tries to love you like I love you/ Don’t know what I’d do / Don’t want to lose you”, with Gwen adding later, “No, I never knew a love like this/ Now we’re picking purple irises.”

On February 9, after releasing their song, Gwen and Blake performed it live for the first time during NFL’s TikTok Tailgate Super Bowl 2024 pre-show. They then watched the game together and snapped a cute picture in a VIP suite at the Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, February 11.

Before the release of their song, Gwen had shared pictures of the purple irises Blake had given her on January 29 and January 30. One picture showed Gwen and Blake with the note, “Never knew a love like this.” Another picture was of a card Blake had sent Gwen, which read, “To: Pretty Girl, Love, Blake.”

Before these public demonstrations of love, there were concerns about their marriage. The couple, who got married in July 2021 after six years of dating, spent the New Year’s Eve separately.

An exclusive report by Life & Style in January revealed that the former The Voice stars were “leading separate lives,” which was leading to issues in their marriage.

Eventually, fans started scrutinizing Gwen and Blake's social media for signs of the rumored separation. They observed that Blake didn't publicly congratulate Gwen when her band, No Doubt, was included in Coachella’s lineup. Gwen also didn’t publicly acknowledge Blake's upcoming tour.

Life & Style exclusively reported on February 1 that their busy schedules have led to their relationship being mainly about text messages and phone calls.

An insider told Life & Style, "Gwen and Blake used to be inseparable, but that’s changed. Everyone loves them together, so hopefully this is just a temporary thing."
