Benny Blanco’s mom, Sandra Levin, hid from intruders when her Los Angeles home was broken into.

Levin was at her home in Studio City on Monday, November 24 when two men wearing masks and dark clothing broke into the residence through a sliding glass door around 9:30 p.m., police sources told NBC Los Angeles.

Police said that Levin heard the intruders and ran upstairs, where she locked herself in a bathroom that’s inside of a bedroom. She then told police that she heard the intruders walk upstairs and open a bedroom door. The intruders saw Levin when she peaked out of the bathroom, and she told police that they quickly fled the scene.

Levin was not injured during the home invasion. Additionally, investigators said that nothing was taken from the home, according to Fox 11 Los Angeles.

While Blanco has remained quiet about the recent home invasion, he has been open about his close relationship with his mother and his father, Andrew Levin.

“My mom’s my best friend,” Blanco told People in 2024. “Every Sunday we go to the farmer’s market. I cook her lunch, we swim, we gossip about stuff. She sends me things and is like, ‘Do you think it’s true?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t even know who these two people are we’re talking about.’”

Blanco also previously revealed that his parents – who are divorced – also inspired his music career. “Ever since I was like a baby, I was into music, I would always, like, bang on the pots and pans,” he told Augustman in a January 2021 interview. “My mom and dad were very into music, so they played me music very early on, and my brother was also really into music, so he would take me into record stores.”
