It's reported that rappers YG and Saweetie have decided to end their romantic relationship, which was confirmed in May 2023 during an amorous vacation in Cabo.

According to a source referenced by The Shade Room in an Instagram post on Monday, January 15, the couple jointly agreed to part ways as they realized their relationship was better suited to friendship. The source also stated that YG, aged 33, and Saweetie, aged 30, made the decision in order to concentrate their efforts on their demanding careers.

Dating speculation first swirled around the "Birthday" artists in April 2023 following reports of bountiful displays of affection at the first weekend of Coachella. Even without official confirmation, their relationship was evident once photographs of them kissing in a pool came to light the next month.

Saweetie, known for her single "Tap In", was previously romantically linked with Quavo, a member of the band Migos. After months of speculation, she confirmed their relationship in September 2018.

During an appearance on The Real, she recounted how they grew closer after working together, expressing how much she enjoys being in his company.

In an interview with GQ from July 2020, "Stir Fry" rapper Quavo spoke about how he first reached out to Saweetie via Instagram direct messaging after seeing her profile on his explore page. He jokingly questioned how she could live up to her 'icy' persona without talking to him, making advances with lines such as "You're an icy girl, you need a glacier boy."

Quavo and Saweetie ended their relationship in March 2021, almost three years after they started dating.

Saweetie shared openly on Twitter about the emotional pain and sense of betrayal she experienced behind the scenes, indicating that material gifts couldn't mend emotional wounds and expressing her relief at finding personal peace and freedom following the breakup.

Quavo responded publicly to the matter on March 19, 2021, expressing his disappointment over Saweetie's actions and stating his intent to address the situation to prevent any misinterpretations.

As for YG, his dating history includes singer Kehlani, multi-talented Keke Palmer, and is rumored to have included Catelyn Sparks with whom he has daughters Harmony Jackson and Vibe. The "Go Loko" artist has not publicly commented on these past relationships.
