The Bachelor season 28 lead Joey Graziadei returns to the show to help season 29’s Grant Ellis sort through some difficult love decisions.

“This week is a lot harder than I expected it to be, so I need Joey’s advice because he’s done this before,” Grant, 31, explained in a clip from the Monday, March 3, episode where he just returned from hometown dates and needed to let one contestant go.

“It’s been emotionally taxing,” Grant admitted to Joey, 29, about his four hometown dates. “I wish I knew that I was gonna develop feelings but I didn’t expect them to be so deep.”

The Pennsylvania native listened deeply over beers and responded, “I think the biggest thing is, take a beat when you feel something. Your words are gonna hold so much weight over these next couple of weeks.”

After eliminating one contestant at that evening’s rose ceremony, Grant will head to the Dominican Republic with his three finalists, one of which could become his fiancée.

“I am a little bit nervous, because my greatest fear is that I end up alone,” Grant confided to Joey.

When the former tennis instructor asked if the rose ceremony was that evening, Grant responded that it was and explained, “Rose ceremonies are always the hardest. And tonight it’s going to be one of the hardest decisions I’ve made.”

“I will tell you this. From being in your shoes, there is something to be said about like, a gut feeling. I really listened to that throughout my whole journey on the show,” Joey shared.

The clip ended with Grant telling a producer in a confessional, “There’s heartbreak involved tonight. And the only thing I can say is that I’ll follow my heart.”

The day trader went on hometown dates with Juliana Pasquarosa, Zoe McGrady, Litia Garr and Dina Lupancu. He decided on his final four while in Scotland during the Monday, February 24, episode, sending Alexe Godin, Carolina Quixano and Sarafiena Watkins packing.

Fans will watch Grant and Juliana, 28, head to Newton, Massachusetts, while he accompanies Zoe, 27, to new York City. The former pro basketball player and Dina, 32, visit her hometown of Chicago, Illinois, while Grant and Litia, 31, take a trip to Wyoming.

Trusting his gut served Joey well during his season of The Bachelor. He ended up proposing to final rose recipient Kelsey Anderson during the show’s finale, which aired on March 25, 2024.

Kelsey, 26, was integral to her fiancé’s success on Dancing With the Stars, showering him with constant support. The couple got a place together in Los Angeles when he competed on season 33, and Joey went on to take home the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball trophy with partner Jenna Johnson.

Joey opened up about his wedding plans with Kelsey after the Dancing With the Stars finale on November 26, 2024.

“We’re both in the process of starting to figure it out,” he told Life & Style and other media outlets. However, the couple hadn’t decided how big or small they wanted their nuptials to be, or whether they wanted a televised wedding.

“We both said that we want it to be for us,” Joey continued. “So, that’s however you want to take that. We’ll figure out what it is, but it’s going to be for us, and we’re going to make sure it’s something special that we can look back on and do it just for us.”
