"Current Status of Cardi B and Offset's Relationship After Second Divorce Filing"

Cardi B and Offset are constantly keeping fans guessing about the status of their relationship. The two happily celebrated their six-year wedding anniversary in September 2023 but sparked split speculation just months later with their social media activity. The rumors were seemingly true as less than a year later, the New York native filed for divorce from the Migos member in July 2024.

After years of ups and downs, Cardi B and Offset called it quits in the fall of 2023. The “WAP” songstress confirmed the news on Instagram live on December 10.

“I’ve been single for a minute now,” she shared. “I’ve been afraid – not afraid, I just don’t know how to tell the world. Last time I got on live I kind of wanted to tell you guys but I didn’t know how to tell you guys so I changed my mind. But it has been like this for a minute now and I just took it as a sign. I want to start 2024, like, fresh, open. I don’t know. I’m curious for a new life. A new beginning. I’m excited.”

Cardi then filed for divorce on July 31, 2024, her rep confirmed.

Just days before her Instagram Live, fans were speculating that the two had split. They unfollowed each other on Instagram and Cardi posted some cryptic messages to her page on December 4.

“You know when you just out grow relationships,” she wrote. “I’m tired of protecting peoples feelings ... I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST.”

However, the two spent Christmas 2023 together with their two children. Both parents shared videos from their joyful holiday to social media, showing their kids, Kulture and Wave, opening their presents.

In the months before that, the stars were seemingly going strong. Cardi (real name Belcalis Almánzar) shared a photo of Offset (real name Kiari Cephus) on Instagram to celebrate Father’s Day in June 2023. “As you take your nap I make my videos lol,” Cardi captioned several photos of her husband and his children. “Happy Father’s Day my love @offsetyrn You are a king of a dad and your kids feel your love, guidance and security.”

Cardi and Offset celebrated their six-year wedding anniversary in September 2023 and the female rapper shared a clip of her entryway filled with roses courtesy of her hubby.

“MY FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE thing about you is that you study me and always pay attention to what I’m into From my favorite colors, my favorite brands to MY FAVORITE foods,” she captioned her Instagram video. “I love that you into details like me because it’s always the lil things that make me smile or even drive me off the wall. Happy anniversary to US.”

Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset for the second time on July 31, 2024, Page Six confirmed. Although the reason behind the split was unclear, an insider told the outlet that infidelity did not play a factor in the end of the marriage.

“They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else,” the source alleged. “This is something she wants to do.”

In September 2020, Cardi filed for divorce from Offset for the first time. However, by November of that year, they were back together.

Life & Style confirmed that Cardi had filed for divorce in Fulton County, Georgia. At the time, the divorce was classified as “contested” and stated that their marriage was “irretrievably broken” noting there were “no prospects for a reconciliation.”

“Me and Offset, we was not seeing eye-to-eye,” the Hustlers star recalled on The Jason Lee Show. “This was like, the same year I filed for divorce and everything.”

However, she didn’t give much more detail, noting that it was more Offset’s story to tell.

“I’m gonna let him talk about this because the main thing that was really bothering me — I’ma let him say it,” Cardi continued. “I want him to say it because I feel like that’s really part of his story.”

Of her decision to take Offset back, she added, “The main thing that I wanted him to stop and everything, he stopped and he changed, and it showed me that he wanted to change for me.”

Following their September 2017 wedding, it was reported that the Migos member had cheated on Cardi throughout their time together. But she decided to make things work after a brief separation at the end of 2018.

“I been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now,” the mother-of-two revealed on Instagram in December 2018. “And we’re really good friends and you know we’re really good business partners and you know, he’s always somebody that I run to, to talk to and we got a lot of love for each other, but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time.”
