As a single-leg amputee, comedian, Paralympian, and author Josh Sundquist has had a lot of unique experiences throughout his life.

And throughout the years, he has become known for creating special costumes that only make sense on someone who is an amputee. And every year on Halloween, his fans are delight to see what creative idea Sundquist comes up with.

In a recent TikTok, the comedian opened up about how he got started with this special tradition before revealing this year’s costume and the special meaning behind it.

“I was going to a Halloween party dressing as a partially eaten gingerbread man. After that, the leg lamp from a Christmas story, [then] a pink flamingo, it’s sort of like a crutch handstand,” Sunquist explained in the clip on his TikTok.

Other past costumes of his included Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy, the Pixar lamp, a microscope, Thor’s hammer, to name a few.

Since marrying his wife and welcoming their baby, Sundquist has also found ways include his family and create group costumes.

The first year after his son was born, he dressed as a firefighter sliding down a pole and his wife dressed as fire with his baby in an adorable Dalmatian costume by their side.

Then for their second Halloween as a family, Sundquist dressed as one of the inflatable tube guys often seen outside car dealerships, while his wife dressed as the “for sale” sign and their son rode around in a little toy car.

After rehashing his past costumes, Sundquist had a very special announcement that accompanied this year’s costume.

This year, Sundquist dressed as “Florida man” with a cutout of the state of Florida strapped to his body, while his wife dressed as an alligator and their toddler dressed as a hurricane.

Sundquist then announced that they chose this year’s costume to announce that they are moving to Florida so that their son can grow up closer to his grandparents, making this year’s costume extra special for their family.
