"Top 7 Pedicure Colors to Welcome This Spring"
When February fades away, there’s nothing more gratifying than heading to the salon for your first spring pedicure. While the buffing and leg massage is nice, choosing a fresh polish color to enter the season is even more delightful. Unlike the shades of fall and winter, this spring’s pedicure trends are full of surprises. For starters, they’re taking a hint from the season’s most loved looks, like soap nails and baby French manicures. The two minimalist trends have dominated social feeds, and the soft and clean colors just so happen to work perfectly on your toes.
But this season’s trends are also bringing back some nostalgic hues. Pastel lavenders, for example, are the epitome of Y2K nails. Vibrant blues and poppy oranges are also tied to the early aughts, while cool nudes have a distinct ‘90s vibe. There’s even room for shimmery polishes and fun nail designs. Ready to dive into a fresh look? Below, we tapped three experts for the best nail trends to lean into this spring.
While pastels are common during spring, this season’s pedicures embrace unique colors like creamy lavender and muted violets. “These variations of purple capture the essence of spring flowers and add a subtle elegance to your pedicure,” says celebrity manicurist Amy Ling.
Soap nail shades are an excellent choice for your pedicure. Soft and demure, celebrity nail artist Elle Gerstein notes that they offer a sophisticated look that’s always elevated and timeless. Coincidently, dusty and muted rose shades were also a hit on the SS2025 runway. “It’s understated elegance perfect for a polished pedicure,” says editorial manicurist Jin Soon Choi.
Nude and beige toes have a similar clean effect and also pair well with the wellness manicure trend. To nail the look, try selecting a softened color that falls somewhere between the two shades and has a creamy consistency.
With the uptick in blue-toned nail trends this year, it’s easy to see why the color would be popular for pedicures. This spring, it’s all about the full spectrum of blue. From soft turquoise polishes to deep ocean shades, you can’t go wrong embracing the wide range blue offers.
Cloud colors are making an unexpected comeback for pedicures this spring. According to the pros, bright whites, marshmallow creams, and muted versions are poised to become some of the season’s top toenail colors. Gerstein notes they’re also ideal for spicing up a micro French pedicure which is also having a renaissance this spring.
Orange polishes work well with any complexion and offer a range of depth. If you’re looking for something unique, Choi says a poppy terracotta will do the trick without being too overpowering. However, if you want to make a statement with fun nail art, Gerstein says that corals and peach tones provide a nice backdrop for bold designs and subtle shimmer.
We’ve already seen the viral potential of butter yellow manicures. However, this spring, the shade is taking a softer approach with a sweet and creamy finish. “The pastel undertones make this version feel youthful and playful without being overpowering,” says Ling.
