2026 Actor Awards Nominations: Complete List Unveiled | Vanity Fair
One Battle After Another won another battle Wednesday, leading the Actor Awards 2026 nominations with seven nods.
Abbott Elementary’s Janelle James and Heated Rivalry breakout actor Connor Storrie announced the nominations on January 7, which included a strong showing for Sinners as well, with five nominations. Both films are up for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, along with Frankenstein, Hamnet, and Marty Supreme. On the TV side, The Diplomat, Landman, The Pitt, Severance, and The White Lotus are vying for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building, and The Studio are up for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
In the acting categories, there were a few notable snubs, including Cynthia Erivo for Wicked and Dwayne Johnson for The Smashing Machine. Some surprise nominees include Marty Supreme’s Odessa A’zion and Sinners’s Miles Caton in the supporting categories. In contrast to recent nominations lists, such as the Golden Globes and Critics Choice, the Actor Awards showed less love to international features and performances, such as It Was Just an Accident, Sentimental Value, and The Secret Agent.
The Actor Awards, formerly known as the SAG Awards, are voted on by working actors who belong to SAG-AFTRA. They’re an important group of voters because many of them are also Academy members who vote for the Oscars. The acting branch is also the largest voting branch of the Academy.
Look below for a full list of SAG Award nominees. The 32nd annual Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA will take place on March 1 at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. The show, which will honor Harrison Ford with the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award, will stream live on Netflix.
