Inspect Your Freezer: Nationwide Recall of Stouffer's and Lean Cuisine Meals

Lean Cuisine and Stouffer's frozen meals are being recalled nationwide due to the potential presence of foreign material, the Food and Drug Administration announced today.
On Monday, Nestlé voluntarily recalled select batches of three Lean Cuisine products and one Stouffer's meal after receiving customer complaints of 'wood-like material' in the items—including a report of one choking incident.
The recalled frozen meals were sold at major retailers across the U.S. from September 2024 to March 2025.
The recalled products can be identified with the following information:
The recall was initiated after customers complained of 'wood-like material' in the frozen meals.
Foreign materials often enter foods at some point in the production process and can pose a safety risk if consumed. To date, there has been one choking incident reported to Nestlé in connection to the recalled frozen meals.
The company said they are investigating the source of the wood-like material and are confident this is an isolated issue.
The FDA is urging consumers not to prepare or consume the recalled frozen meals. Customers can return the affected products to the store where they were purchased for a replacement or refund.
